This is the longest travel day I’ve partook in - I don’t count the time I few to New York City in 2014 and wound up in hospital with gastro 🤮🤮🤮

I flew from Tel Aviv to Tokyo, as there’s no direct flights I had to go the rather unconventional way, via Amman in Jordan, then Doha in Qatar before heading to Tokyo. In honesty the time did fly by (pardon the pun!) and I seriously fell in love with Qatar Airlines - I’m only going to fly Qatar from now if I can help it!

After my travel day, I was very glad to get to Tokyo. Japan definitely has a special place in my heart and I was so happy to be back. Great thing is I landed at Narita Terminal 2, which mean a Capsule Hotel AND Convenience Store in the same building!!

After a few days working on vlogs for you guys in Nagasaki, I headed to the Atomic Bomb Memorial, where I learnt more about the second nuclear weapon that was used in warfare.

The museum itself was quite full on and in some parts a bit gory, with some body parts on display and also a full on understanding of how parts of Nagasaki look after the bomb exploded.

After the museum I visited the hypocenter memorial and the Peace Park, which again was a moving experience.

To me, to visit the memorials, it was a moving experience and something that gave me a bit of closure and understanding for myself.

I always believe that no textbook, website or lecture will ever do a place like this justice and I always believe you need to visit these places to understand better.

There’s a huge reason why I get lured to Japan.

No it’s not the rugby. (But I love the Kobelco Steelers!)

It’s not the Kawaii culture. (But Hello Kitty is awesome!)

It’s not the food (Did someone say Ramen?)

It’s because I believe the link it has to U2’s Zoo TV tour gives me a feeling of nostalgia.

My best childhood memory is about watching the concert from Sydney as well as the Outside Broadcast special, mainly because the sensory overload they were trying to get the viewer to filter in you couldn’t quite understand.

I think Japan does the same thing, and from walking around Dōtonbori in Osaka, you can truly understand my message of sensory overload and not being able to grasp the message.
