My snakes have perfect conditions in their enclosures for proper sheds but since they are outdoors so much in the spring and summer their skin gets dryer so naturally their sheds are thicker and less hydrated. It's amazing the lengths some of us go to to try and make our snakes more content and happier even to a point of them controlling our actions to give them a better quality of life. :) They do appreciate the help in most cases and especially when they are spoiled like all of mine are and they know how to get what they want ROFL It's pretty bad when your snakes know once they get their shed cleared off their head if they sit around it will bug you so bad you have to help them finish their shed which almost EVERY snake I've raised does this.

The snake in this video is Sunny, my Lemon Pastel Ball Python and she is 4 years old.

I will allow this video to speak for itself as it does a great job of showing people that snakes ARE NOT AGGRESSIVE animals they are DEFENSIVE animals that try to protect their lives. In the wild snakes first defensive action is to FLEE not approach or attack someone. Snakes in a captive environment are rather shy and timid animals unless harassed or provoked !!!

All of my snakes are VERY social animals through lots of time invested handling them and working with them through the years and snakes make just as great a pet as dogs and cats do and in some cases even better pets to raise because their maintenance levels are lower but it still takes dedication to provide them with ALL their needs so they are content animals instead of defensive and nasty tempered animals !! Than again, the way ANY animal turns out temperament and personality wise is based on their care program and their handlers ability to be totally responsible for the animals and their requirements :) These are my two older adult Ball Pythons, Ginger and Tipr enjoying the outdoors.
