He is likely to be without a number of injured players on Saturday with Mesut Ozil among those to miss out.
Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are back training but are unlikely to be risked.
Shkodran Mustafi is also unlikely to feature after coming off in the win over Fulham.
Petr Cech is likely to start in goal for the Gunners while Carl Jenkinson and Mohamed Elneny can expect some minutes.
But there should also be an opportunity for some Gunners youngsters with Emile Smith-Rowe in line to start.
Zech Medley and Eddie Nketiah are also in contention for Arsenal, who were beaten at this stage by Nottingham Forest a year ago.
