The Scot, who managed the Norwegian for 11 seasons at Old Trafford, would regularly host general knowledge quizzes when the Red Devils stopped over before fixtures.
According to The Sun , Solskjaer has brought back quiz nights in a bid to build team morale. The 45-year-old has also requested his players spend more time together at the hotel. But Solskjaer wants the opposite of this and is presumably trying to encourage a feeling of togetherness.
The ex-Red Devils striker took over from Mourinho last month - and has gone on to lead his former side to four straight wins.
After getting the job, Solskjaer revealed he had been in touch with the Scot.
"I have been in touch with the gaffer quite a bit," he said.
"I don't know what input he had but when I got the call, but of course, I text the boss.
"I am going to enjoy a nice cup of tea back at his house and sit down to discuss a few ideas. There's no one-one better to get advice from.
"I had the best teacher. The boss is and will always be the best, so my management involves around what I learned from him."
